Are you responsible?

It’s 2019 and my word for the year is execution!

Last week, I took a step and went to the doctor. I avoided going for 2.5 years because I was afraid they would put me in medication: my thyroid is swollen and I am pre-diabetic due to weight. I realized, I can’t partially be a good steward. I can’t try to be a good steward of finances but not my eating habits or trying to maintain myself spiritually but not take care of His temple. God’s charge to not be lukewarm is not compartmentalized, it’s for all things.

“One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much.” -Luke 16:10 ESV
We all have prayers and goals for what we want to happen and accomplish in 2019. Change is possible but we have to take a holistic approach to it. If you are struggling to be consistent, I would challenge you to look at how you are operating in all the areas of your life. If there is an area you are struggling, more than likely it is showing up somewhere else to. Although tackling my health is scary, it is a responsibility God is not going to overlook. It’s a part of the “talents” He gave me.

Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.” -1 Corinthians 6:19-20 NIV

What talents do you need to better steward? ❤️
