Who Do You Say I Am?

I must admit I’ve sat on this one for a couple weeks. But I felt the Holy Spirit tugging on me as I got off my zoom session this past Thursday.

There is a serious war going on y’all. And fear is overcoming many in this time. Panic, depression, suicide… havoc is having its way. But I hear the spirit of the Lord asking, “who do you say I am?”

When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say the Son of Man is?” They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am? Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”

Matthew 16:13-16 NIV

Now is the time brothers and sisters to proclaim God’s sovereignty… To praise His holiness and stand in awe of His majesty. Where words and videos of fear and turmoil dominate with darkness…. Where is the light?

Choose today, to confess the truth. In spite of all that is going on, Jesus is Lord (Jehovah)! In spite of the panic in the world, He is the Great Shepherd (Jehovah Rohi). In spite of the pandemic, He is a Healer (Jehovah Ropha). In spite of the depression, He is the Comforter and Prince of Peace (Jehovah Shalom). In spite of shortages, He is my Provider (Jehovah Jireh) and Way-maker.

Remember, who you are and WHOSE you are!

“And everything I’ve taught you is so that the peace which is in me will be in you and will give you great confidence as you rest in me. For in this unbelieving world you will experience trouble and sorrows, but you must be courageous, for I have conquered the world!”

John 16:33 TPT

From the dawn of time He has always been the Great I AM and always will be.
